By train

Kingston station is a 30–40-minute drive from Newport with Amtrak’s Northeast Regional service from New York Penn Station. Uber and Lyft are generally available.

Providence station is a 45–60-minute drive from Newport with Acela service.

By plane

T. F. Green (PVD) is the closest major airport and is about 45 minutes from Newport by car. Boston Logan (BOS) is roughly 1½–2 hours away by car.

By car

Allow roughly 4–5 hours from New York City, with extra time for Friday and summer traffic.

Please check parking with your hotel or rental before arriving. Downtown spaces may be metered or require a resident permit.

Accommodations

The weekend overlaps with the annual Tennis Hall of Fame induction ceremony, so we suggest booking early. We recommend staying in downtown Newport, but nearby Middletown is another option.
